Since launching the IP Crime Strategy in 2004 the Intellectual Property Office has undertaken a wide variety of awareness raising activities for industry, enforcement officers and consumers to highlight the threat posed by IP crime.
The Intellectual Property Office has also developed a number of training packages and seminars for the enforcement community.

Proceeds
of Crime Act (PoCA) Leaflet

The Proceeds of Crime Act (PoCA) Leaflet was launched on the 26 May 2009 to raise awareness of the Act. Targeting consumers and market traders, the leaflet warns would-be buyers and traders of counterfeit goods of the real cost - not only in terms of economic damage but also the risks to health and safety.
IP crime in the workplace
One of the work streams of the IP Crime
Group is investigating IP crime in the workplace. The Intellectual Property Office commissioned research

to understand the scale of the problem and identify the next step. The IP Crime Group will be raising
awareness of this issue and agreeing a plan of collaborative actions.
Seminars
