Annual IP Crime Report
The IP Crime Report is produced by the IP Crime Group which was founded in 2004 by the Intellectual Property Office. The Group brings together experts from industry groups, enforcement agencies and government to work in collaboration on the issues relating to IP crime.
The
new IP Crime Report 2009/10
(2.2Mb) was launched on 29 July 2010 by Baroness
Wilcox, Parliamentary Secretary for Business, Innovation and Skills with an accompanying
letter
(239Kb). The report examines the threat posed to businesses and individuals by
IP crime, illustrating that IP
crime is a huge threat to society and the economy, and highlights examples of recent successes in combating
it.
The report contains statistical data and enforcement activities from enforcement agencies such as trading standards, police and HM Revenue & Customs along with industry bodies.
The previous IP Crime Report
2008/09
(1.83Mb) outlines
the successes to date, particularly the effectiveness of legislation, the productive
collaboration
between Government, enforcement agencies and industry.
